Lucy Adams

Lucy is an award-winning journalist. Her investigations for Panorama, File on 4 and BBC Scotland have led to parliamentary inquiries. She has covered national and international stories, winning awards for her work in Liberia, Uganda and Libya. She has twice won the Amnesty International Nations and Regions award and Lorenzo Natali European prize for her human rights investigations. In 2010 she won Scottish journalist and reporter of the Year.

She is currently the social affairs correspondent for BBC Scotland. She was previously the Chief Reporter of The Herald and Home Affairs Correspondent at The Sunday Times in Scotland.  

Lucy has an MLitt in Creative Writing from Glasgow University. 

She is a mother to two daughters. A wife and adventurer. She has ridden on horseback across the Andes, cycled 2000km around East Africa, and swum down Amazon tributaries. She lives in Glasgow.
