Kerri Andrews is a writer and literary historian. She is the author of Wanderers: A History of Women Walking (Reaktion) and has also written about the history of women’s walking for the Guardian, Trail magazine, The Great Outdoors and History Today. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour discussing women’s walking, and has featured on a number of podcasts including BBC Scotland’s Scotland Outdoors and Tough Girl. She is currently editing the first-ever anthology of women’s writing about walking, to be published by Reaktion in 2023. She is also editing the first-ever edition of the nature writer Nan Shepherd’s letters, which will be published by Edinburgh University Press, also in 2023. A keen mountaineer, walker and cyclist, Kerri is also a member of Mountaineering Scotland and when not writing can be found in the hills of the Scottish Borders.
